=> price per gallon was ONE DOLLAR AND SIXTY-NINE CENTS ($ 1.69) when Bummer took office. <= Apparently it's possible to walk around without a clue as to how gas pries OR the economy works. Half a year before that, the price of regular was well over four bucks. Then the economy collapsed. When the eonomy collapses, the price of gas usually goes with it. Recovering economy = rising prices.
Other than that, a POTUS has no influence over gas prices. Get your nose out of Lush Rimjob's crotch. => don't hold your breath on $3.00 Romney won't be able to change policy until Jan 21st <= Good God what abject blind ignorance. And what do you suppose another POTUS is going to do with a price he has no control over? Put a tiger in every tank and a dog on every roof? Some of you clowns give me the urge to regurge. Wake up already.

price per gallon was ONE DOLLAR AND SIXTY-NINE CENTS ($ 1.69) when Bummer took office. Now he has healthcare to add to our financial burden. New ad should end with: I'm Barack Obama and I APPROVED THIS TAX.

I agree that while 20-30 cents helps, it does not solve the expense for most all people

Instead of bitchin about high gas prices they should make an effort to earn more. Alternative energy is a great career start. Either as an engineer, sales\marketing person or a manager\business analyst. I bet people with those jobs aren't moaning. I even know it first-hand. Gas below $3.50 a gallon is evil. Period. If you disagree - move to Venezuela and enjoy 8c/gallon gas.

Sure you could get hi test for 35 cents per gallon, but those were times when you had to work 4-6 hours to clear that much money, $10, after taxes. Now its under an hour to do the same for $10, but it takes 4-6 hours of work to fill your tank with $40-60 of gas.

Please.
We were used to gas being well under a buck for the vast majority of our lives. $3 a gallon is still 3-6 times more than we had been accustomed to.

No matter how you say it, how many big colorful words, gas is still high. I can still remember hi test for .35 gal. You could fill the tank for less than $10.

I know my family spends more at the stores when we don't have to spend so much on fuel to get to work. This seems like something any moron in government could figure out but I guess the greed overrides the concern for the country's financial health.

Prices are still nowhere near reasonable.
Should be 2.50 or less.
Speculators are having a great time -- at our expense.
CFTC where are you? Crickets chirping. Just as BHO & Co. want it. Greenies are loving it too.

Gasoline prices are high because of our government misguided energy policies, starting with the EPA.

Gas prices are not going back to what they were in the 90's BUT...why are we being goughed at the pumps now with no concrete feasable explanation other than greed. If we lay down and suck it up, who's going to stop them from raising the prices completely out of control?

Driving THREE and HALF hours to work??? DJ Leach probably wasn't thinking clearly when he made the decision to either move or to work. It must be one great job to travel SEVEN HOURS A DAY! Assuming 8 hours at work, 8 hours of sleep, and 7 hours of travel, DJ get a whole 1 hour to relax, eat, shower, shave, and have family time. Does not seem possible to me..........
